2nd Year of Flora Aasen Memorial Alzheimer
Pro-Am another Huge Success
This years event was held at the Pitt Meadows Golf & C.C. on the 27th of August. It was a thirty team Pro-Am using the two best-ball modified
Stableford format. The Professionals were gunning for $15,000, one of the largest one-day purses, and the
amateurs had over $10,000 in prizes.
In the inaugural event we raised over $50,000 and this year I'm pleased to announce that over $60,000 was raised, which will be used to fund research, support, education and advocacy services. With generous support from all of those involved, we look forward to many years of success, both with this tournament and in our fight to support people who struggle daily with the challenges and losses that accompany this very democratic disease.
Sincerely,
John Aasen

This event was founded by John and Greg Aasen in memory of their mother,
Flora Aasen, who passed away in January 2000 due to complications from Alzheimer Disease. As a tribute to her, the Pro-Am is a celebration of her life, and a great way for family and friends to remember her in a familiar setting.
