John's Profile

John began the game of golf at the tender age of four under the tutelage of his father. His on-going enthusiasm and commitment to the game have forged a path for professional success at both the teaching and playing levels. A former Canadian PGA Assistants’ Champion John has a long and impressive playing record but it’s as a teacher that John has built his reputation throughout the golfing community. After a successful decade at the University G.C. as Director of Instruction, John spent almost eight years as the Head Professional/Director of Instruction at Westwood Plateau Golf Academy. With over twenty years of teaching experience, John is recognized for his ability to effectively communicate and adapt to suit his student’s skill level helping them clearly understand their swing tendencies and become more self-reliant.
